Quiet Thursday!

There are three jumps meetings today at Huntingdon, Perth and Warwick but the stable does not have any runners.  There are flat cards at Beverley and on the all-weather at Chelmsford while in Ireland, they have a jumps card at Wexford but the flat meeting at Tipperary has been abandoned due to waterlogging.  There is still some rain about in some places!

Yesterday we had 4 runners 3 at Uttoxeter and 1 at our local course Taunton. Behind The Curtain was representing the stable at Taunton last night and he travelled much better on the better ground and ran on well to be 5th.  While at Uttoxeter Sizing Pottsie got very tired over this extra distance and Skinfull just didn't really enjoy the ground. Our last runner of the evening was Walkadina who ran well to be second, she was maybe just beaten by a better horse on the day! A summer at grass will do her good and she will be something to look forward to next season!

The Punchestown festival is just only a few days away now and entries for all races on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are now revealed. 

Last night in the football. There were 4 games that went ahead in the Premier League, and Everton moved closer to Premier League survival which put a huge dent in Liverpool's Premier League title challenge winning 2-0. While Wolverhampton 0-1 AFC Bournemouth, Crystal Palace 2-0 Newcastle United and Man U 4-2 Sheffield United. 

There is one Premiership match this evening with another important match at the top of the table with Manchester City in action away to Brighton with kick-off at 8:00pm.
