Monday at Hereford!

       Behind The Curtain runs today!
There is one jump meeting today at Hereford, and we have one runner, Behind The Curtain. He runs in the 4:05pm Novices Handicap Hurdle over 3m1f and Jack Tudor rides. Our 10-year-old was the surprise 50/1 winner of a race at Wincanton last season under our amateur Martin McIntyre. He is not without ability and even though he was a big price when he won, it was not the biggest surprise to the stable that he ran well that day.

He rather got stuck in the mud at Exeter after that, but returned to form at Taunton after that when preferring the quicker conditions. A Return to a bit further will suit this afternoon, Jack Tudor gets back on board and I think he will run well. He won’t mind the rain that is forecast and he has a good attitude, so I think he can put up a bold show in the colours of the David Pipe Racing Club.

There are three flat meetings in Britain today at Catterick, Windsor and Wolverhampton. In Ireland, they have a meeting under both codes with flat racing at Roscommon and jumping action at Killarney.

Arsenal are back on top of the Premiership and lead Man City by one point after beating Manchester United yesterday 1-0 at Old Trafford. They have however, played one game more than Manchester City and so the team Blue are still in pole position. There is one premiership match this evening as Liverpool travelled away to play Aston Villa at 8 pm. Manchester City play their game in hand tomorrow, (Tuesday) when they travel away to Spurs, so that will be a tough match, but if they win that will more than likely seal them the title.

Engineers have made a car that can run on mint, Hopefully soon they will make buses and trains that can run on thyme!!
