Uttoxeter Sunday!

Today there is jumps racing at Fontwell, Uttoxeter and Kelso, with no flat racing in Britain today. In Ireland, they race over the flat at the Curragh. We have one runner today at Uttoxeter, Hammer Dan who runs in the 2:25pm Novices’ Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 7f with James Davies in the saddle. He’s been very disappointing to this point, but he goes better at home than he’s shown on the racecourse, hopefully the better ground will bring some improvement today.

Attention turns to the fillies at the Curragh today as the Irish 1,000 Guineas take centre stage at 3:45pm. Opera Singer connections are hoping she can confirm her star potential in her first start this year, after a setback ruled her out of Newmarket.

In the football today, the English Football League is on for the promotion Play-offs in the final for the Championship and Leeds vs. Southampton, which will kick off at 3:00pm.
