Yesterday there was racing Uttoxeter and we were due to have Hammer Dan run in the second race on the card, but we made him a non runner due to the ground. Today, there is jumps racing at Cartmel and Huntingdon with the flat fixtures at Redcar, Leicester and Yarmouth. In Ireland, they have an evening flat fixture at Ballinrobe. The stable has no runners today.

On the weekend, Rachael Blackmore had a winner at York - on the flat! She rode for Trainer Henry De Bromhead in the Bronte Cup Fillies' Stakes on Term Of Endearment. She wasn't the only Irish runner that came to Britain for the weekend racing as Willie Mullins had his first ever winner at Fontwell yesterday. Patrick Mullins rode Fine Margin who was favourite, to go and win easily by 7 1/2 lengths. Patrick had mentioned the horse had lost his confidence a little and this run was purely for building that back up and although the horse didn't quite look the tidiest of jumpers, I'm sure the win would be a huge help on the horses confidence and a step in the right direction.

Ralph Beckett has left four of his six entries in the Betfred Oaks to stand their ground at the six-day confirmation stage for Friday's classic, while Aidan O'Brien left in all but content.

In the football over the weekend there was the FA Cup Final between Man U and Man City on Saturday. Manchester United defied the odds and all of their critics to pull off a brilliant FA Cup final victory over hot favourite Man City at Wembley. United's win denied Premier League champions Man City a second successive double and the final result was 2-1. Yesterday the football action continued with Southampton and Leeds, Southampton beat Leeds in the Championship play-off final to secure an immediate return to the Premier League. The result was 1-0.
