A Quiet Tuesday!

No runners for the stable today but there is racing at Bangor-On-Dee which is the only jumps meeting on today and then on the flat they have fixtures at Redcar, Brighton, Leicester and Lingfield. In Ireland, they have jumps action at Ballinrobe and a flat meeting at Tipperary.

The Royal Ascot fields start to take shape as the races reach the acceptance stage alongside the publication of weights for the Royal Hunt Cup and the Wokingham. The entries for the Sussex Stakes on July 31^st are released, along with the weights for the Northumberland Plate on June 29^th.

Robert Havlin is hoping the rain stays away from Epsom between now and Saturday’s Betfred Derby after his intended mount Ambiente Friendly had his final workout on Newmarket’s Limekilns gallop on Sunday morning. He is hoping to sit on Ambiente Friendly a few more times between now and Saturday and he has mentioned that he has been on the phone to fellow Jockey Frankie Dettori a lot and getting some advice on how to ride the race as he picked the ride up only last Wednesday from previous planned jockey Callum Shepherd.

It wasn't a fairy-tale ending for trainer Paul Webber as he saddled his last runner in his name at Huntingdon yesterday, Pep Talking finished second to Great Samourai in the 2mile 1/2 Handicap Chase. Paul Webber is set to continue his involvement in racing and will start by lending his support and guidance to trainer Billy Aprahamian, some of his horses are set to move to Billy's yard also and it could be an exciting partnership.
