Uttoxeter Winner!

     Mr Tambourine Man wins at Uttoxeter!
Saturday we made our way to Uttoxeter with two runners for their evening meeting. Mr Tambourine Man backed up his win last time out to get his head in front again, on ground that was probably softer than ideal. The handicapper will have his say but hopefully there's still more to come from him as he seems to be in a good place at the moment!

In the last we had Granny Smith making her stable debut and she ran well for a long way, as they quickened up she couldn't quite go with them, but she galloped all the way to the line and Jack Tudor was happy with her run, it was a pleasing debut. 

On the flat we had Bashful Boy at Sandown. He ran well to finish 5th and it was an improvement from the back of his first run back at Newton Abbot over hurdles from a break. 

On Sunday, we made the trip to Salisbury with Rebel Angel. Who ran in the 5:30pm Handicap over 1miles 4f, she improved from her run at Windsor and she galloped all the way to the line and ran well to finish 3rd. 

Today we make the long trip up to Carlisle with Manuelito running in the 3:30pm Handicap over 1mile 6f with Tom Marquand riding. He switches back to the flat today after his two previous wins over hurdles, they have had more rain which wouldn't be ideal, but he is well treated and he's a different horse since he last ran on the flat, so hopefully he can run well today. 

The Euros kicked off on Friday evening and last night saw the first game for England who were up against Serbia. England came out on top with a 1-0 win and they will need to improve more from that game but at least it will send them into their second Group C match against Denmark on Thursday in good heart. Today there are three matches to take place with Austria and France from Group D set to kick off at 8pm with the earlier matches being from Group E Romania vs. Ukraine who kick off at 2pm and Belgium vs. Slovakia at 5pm.

Why did the golfer bring two pairs of trousers?

In case he got a hole in one!
