There are four flat meetings today at Thirsk, Chepstow, Windsor and Bath and the stable does not have any runners. In Ireland, they have one flat meeting at Ballinrobe.
Yesterday at Ffos Las, Oceanline ran very well to be a close fourth. We had a late jockey change with Oisin murphy not riding in the end and Finley Marsh stepping in for the ride. I thought they didn’t go a great gallop and then we are a little outpaced as they quickened things up rounding the home bend but he stuck to his task well and galloped all the way to the line and he was only beaten a length. This was a nice return from a break and off a mark of 84 he looks capable of winning on the flat. He will mix runs on the level with jumping this summer and should continue to give us all a lot of fun.
Born In The West was a non-runner at Hexham yesterday. He was at the course but the ground was not suitable and it was decided to wait for another day.
Aidan O’Brien was crowned Champion trainer at Royal Ascot, Coolmore was leading owners and Ryan Moore was leading jockey. I particularly impressed by Bedtime Story in winning the Chesham Stakes for that team on Saturday.
In the Euros, Belgium and Portugal were impressive in victory on Saturday evening and we continue with the last Group games in Group B, Croatia play Italy and Albania play Spain all at 8pm. Spain will top the Group with a win or a draw while Italy are in pole position over Croatia but they cannot afford to lose the match.
England were easy winners over the USA in their T20 Cricket World Cup match yesterday in Barbados.
Max Verstappen won the Spanish Grand Prix.
My dad bought my sister a bag from Iraq last week when he was there on business. She said I love the Baghdad!
Happy Monday!
