Yesterday we had 2 runners for the stable at Newton Abbot. It was a sad start to the afternoon as we lost Happy Helen yesterday, she was a sweet horse and we hadn't had her long, but it never gets easier when you do lose one. Mr Tambourine Man didn't run to the form he has been in lately and couldn't bid the hat-trick, the sharper track and having the rise in the handicaps probably didn't help him on this occasion.

Today we have just the one runner at Worcester, Born In The West who runs in the 3:53pm Bumper over 2miles with Gearoid Harney on board. He was unlucky on stable debut last time out finishing second only beaten only by ¾ of a length when in contention in the run in. Kintaro was due to run today at Worcester also, but is now a non-runner and we will wait for another day with him.

Last night in the football, England vs Slovenia 0-0. England didn't quite provide the action packed match we all hoped for! They were quite laboured and only showed some quality in the first half but with that being said, they have moved into the last 16 at the top of Group C. England's last 16 opponents are currently the Netherlands but that could change after the final round of matches. the remaining games and scores of last night were Denmark vs. Serbia 0-0 Netherlands vs. Austria 2-3 France vs. Poland 1-1.

Tonight in the Euros Ukraine vs. Belgium and Slovakia vs. Romania both from Group E and both set to kick off at 5pm. Later on in the evening, the two matches from Group F taking place are Czech Republic vs. Turkey and Georgia vs. Portugal set to take place at 8pm.

I entered ten puns in a contest to see which would win...

No pun in ten did!

Have a lovely Wednesday!
