Last night we had two runners at Bangor-On-Dee. Steppenwolf ran in the second race on the card, it was a much stiffer task yesterday and a bit more competitive than last time out at Ffos Las, but there will be plenty of other days for him ahead I'm sure.

Walk Of The Roses ran another consistent race, finishing 3rd. She didn't jump at her best at times, but that was only her second start over obstacles and I think she bumped into a couple of nice mares here, but I'm sure it won't be too long before she's back getting her head in front!

It's a quiet Saturday planned for us with no runners and no jumps fixtures scheduled today. There is plenty of flat action taking place at Newcastle, Newmarket, Chester, Windsor, Doncaster and Lingfield. In Ireland, there is flat racing at the Curragh.

There is plenty of action on today but the week’s sole group 1 contest takes place at the Curragh with the Pretty Polly set to be off at 3:30pm. Newcastle also have their biggest day the Northumberland Plate taking centre stage at 3:35pm.

Brian Ellison is one trainer looking to grab victory in the Northumberland Plate having been born on the day of the race 72 years ago – he believes this year, he has his best chance of striking gold! He is set to have two representatives including Onesmoothoperator who seems to love the track! His other horse Tashkan will top the weights having finished third in the Group 1 Royal-Oak on his last in October.

The Euro’s is back tonight with the last 16 matches. Switzerland take on Italy to kick off at 5pm while the later game is Germany vs. Denmark at 8pm.

What did the janitor say when he jumped out of the cupboard?

Have a lovely weekend!
