On Sunday we headed to Uttoxeter with one runner, Myristica. She ran well for a long way coming back from a break, but I think the ground was a little softer than to her liking.

Today we head to Worcester with two runners, both in the 3:30pm Mares' Bumper. Back In The Bay makes her debut for Pond House, finishing second last time out in an Irish point to point. She's settled in nicely at Pond House and it will be interesting to see how she gets on today. Our other runner is Granny Smith, she ran at Uttoxeter last time out and she ran well for a long way but just couldn't quite quicken with the others in the closing stages, but it was a good starting point and I'm sure she will have come on from that run.

Over the weekend, Bluestocking showed plenty of toughness as she made her Grade 1 break through in a riveting running of the Pretty Polly Stakes to pip the forcefully ridden Emily Upjohn. The four year old suffered an agonising defeat of her own, in last season's Irish Oaks. It was a poignant success for jockey Rossa Ryan as it was on his home soil at the Curragh, with all of his family there to witness the win.

In the Euro's last night, England were needing to improve on their last game to get through to the next stage and were up against Slovakia. The game was thought to have been in Slovakia's favour after they were 1 up on England until the 90th minute when England scored after having 5 minutes added on and their previous goal called off side. Going into 30 minutes extra time England's Harry Kane, scored in the 91st minute providing them victory and they now go into the quarter finals. Spain and Georgia were the second match of the evening and Spain go through to the quarter finals after notching up a 4-1 victory.

Tonight see's the two matches between France vs. Belgium who kick off at 5pm and the latter game being Portugal vs. Slovenia at 8pm.

Today is the first day of Wimbledon. There is plenty of talk whether Andy Murray would be taking part and it is thought that he will make his mind up this evening whether to take part in the singles.

What would bears be without bees?
