Yesterday we had no runners for the stable and our next runners are not until Friday. Today there is action over jumps at Perth who is the only jumps card while the flat is at Haydock, Yarmouth, Kempton and Newbury. In Ireland, they race over both codes with the jumping continuing at Tipperary and on the flat at Bellewstown.

The three-day meeting at Tipperary continues and there is some classy action with the Grade 3 Grimes Hurdle, which takes place at 6:15pm. The one to watch could be the Willie Mullins-trained Daddy Long Legs, who was an impressive winner at the Punchestown Festival when last seen.

Outside of racing it is a big day with the general election underway, it is looking likely that Labour will form the new government, who is determined to toughen up the measures contained in the last conservative government's schemes. Keir Starmer has mentioned he hopes that British horseracing can enjoy a good working relationship with a future Labour Government.

Wimbledon yesterday saw Emma Raducanu win her match against Belgium player Elsie Mertens meaning she now goes into the Wimbledon third round. It's an interesting day for the British players as there is all British battles headlining the fourth day, in the men and women's singles. Katie Boulter is set to take on Harriet Dart, while in the men's singles it's Jack Draper up against Cameron Norrie. Andy Murray returns to the courts today with his brother Jamie as they take to the men's doubles, they are set to take on Australian pairing John Peers and Rinky Hijikata in the third match on centre court.

Why did the Strawberry cry?

He found himself in a jam!

Happy Thursday!
