Quiet day yesterday with no runners, nothing now I expect until possibly Sunday. There is no jumps racing on today and the racing action is at Lingfield, Yarmouth, Catterick, Kempton and Ffos Las. In Ireland, they race on the flat at Fairyhouse.

Alan King is on weather watch in the lead up to Glorious Goodwood as he targets more Group 1 success with Trueshan following his win at Sandown on Friday. He defeated Night Sparkle by two lengths in the Listed Coral Marathon; he is currently 14-1 for Goodwood at the end of July.

Racing is not the only event to look forward to as England take on the Netherlands tonight at 8pm in the Semi-finals of the Euros. Last night Spain were up against France in their bid for the final and ended with a 2-1 victory. It's fair to say that Spain have been the most attacking side in this tournament to date and here they showed they have the defence to match as they stay on course for a fourth European Championship title. England have shown an improved performance against Switzerland in the quarter finals, but they will need to show some further improvement to reach Sunday's final against Spain.

Yesterday in Wimbledon there was plenty of quarterfinal action taking place. The rain played its part again and there was no play on the outside courts before 1:30pm. The rain has caused havoc over the last few days it has meant that some of the first-round mixed double matches are still yet to be completed; the finals has now been moved to Sunday. Defending Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz recovered from a slow start to beat Tommy Paul and sets up another semi-final against Daniil Medvedev which is a repeat of meeting from last year.

Did you hear about the guy who invented the knock-knock joke?

He won the 'no-bell' prize!

Happy Wednesday!
