Euros Final!

           Hammer Dan runs today!
Before I get onto the event that everyone is looking forward to – the jumps racing is back today! We have one runner at Stratford, Hammer Dan in the 4:30pm Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 6f with Jack Tudor in the saddle.

He won on his last time out at Newton Abbot in June and won nicely when appreciating the better ground, he is a horse that has deserved to get his head in front and should appreciate the conditions today. 

Other than Stratford, there is jumps racing at Perth while the flat racing has a day off after a busy few days of meetings. There is no racing in Ireland today. 

Today is the last day of Wimbledon and Carlos Alcaraz meets with Novak Djokovic for the Men’s singles final. While in the Wheelchair Men’s singles final, we have British player Alfie Hewett meeting with Martin De La Puente.

8pm tonight will see the final of the Euro’s 2024, which England will take on Spain. Spain have won all six of their games so far in this year’s tournament and have the most wins any side has picked up in a single edition of the UEFA European Championship. This is the third meeting between Spain and England. Spain have been an impressive side to watch and England will have a lot to do to beat them I think and will need to be tactically close to perfect, but England are on the brink of something special and I hope to report back tomorrow morning with the result of England being the Euros 2024 Champions!
