         Chemical Warfare runs today!
Today there is jumps racing at Uttoxeter while on the flat there are cards at Ascot, Thirsk, York, Chepstow and Sandown. In Ireland, They race over both codes with the jumps at Kilbeggan and on the flat at Cork.

Yesterday we had one runner at Sandown, Ocean Heights ran in the 4:20pm and ran well to finish third, it was a fairly competitive race even with such a small field but he kept on well running all the way to the line.

Today we head to Uttoxeter with three runners. Bashful Boy runs in the 3:20pm Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 4f with Jack Tudor riding. He ran well on his last start and it was an improvement on from his previous runs so hopefully, he can continue to improve again.

Back In The Bay runs in the 4:30pm Mares’ Bumper over 2miles with Jack Tudor in the saddle. She ran well on stable debut finishing 4th and she ran on well to the line just getting caught for a couple of places, so I’m sure there will be plenty of improvement from that run and she is a likeable mare.

Our last runner of the day is Chemical Warfare who runs in the 5:35pm Handicap Chase over 3miles 2f, again with Jack Tudor in the saddle. He showed a tough performance last time out to get his head in front with his return back to fences. This is step up in distance today, but he is capable of improving more I think.

We also heard the sad news of one of jump racing’s most iconic equine superstars, Istabraq who sadly passed away at the age of 32. He was an incredible horse and his CV certainly showed that. He was retired to JP McManus’ home in Ireland and extremely well looked after at his fantastic facility and only two months ago, celebrated his birthday and was pictured at the centre of a large gathering and it was said that he received many birthday cards!

Tonight is the showing of the second episode of Champions: Full Gallop on ITV1 at 9pm, if you have not yet seen it, this episode follows closely the jockey’s title between Harry Cobden and Sean Bowen and it is not one to miss!

I got a new job last week as the new top dog at Old Macdonald's Farm...

I'm the new C-I-E-I-O!

Happy Friday!
