Today the action continues at Glorious Goodwood, with meetings also at Nottingham, Wolverhampton and Epsom. In Ireland, action continues from Galway. No runners for the stable today.
We were due to have Rebel Angel run at Leicester yesterday, but unfortunately she was not quite right, so she was a non-runner and we will wait for another day with her.
At Glorious Goodwood, the Group 1 Qatar Nassau Stakes is at 3:35pm and Coronation Cup second Opera Singer will attempt to give Aidan O’Brien more success in the race, while John and Thady Gosden will be hoping for success with Emily Upjohn representing the stable.
The second week of the Racing League takes place at Wolverhampton, with the teams hoping to build on their scores from the first week at Yarmouth. The East team are currently in first position with 163 points, with last year’s winners Ireland with 153 points in second.
Over in Galway, Nicky Henderson hopes for success in the Galway Hurdle as he saddles Under Control for JP McManus. It's a couple of years since Henderson has saddled a winner in Ireland and the latest British winner of the Galway Hurdle was Overturn in 2010, so he will be looking to change that!
Team GB added to the medal table as the rowing team won in the women’s quadruple sculls after a photo finish with the Netherlands. It is the first time Team GB have won the quadruple sculls in the Olympics. In the triathlon, Beth Potter battled to bronze in the women’s race whilst in the men’s Alex Yee produced a sensational sprint at the end to claim Gold.
In the medal table, Team GB go into todays games with 6 Gold medals, 6 Silver and 5 Bronze.
