Glorious Goodwood!

     Oceanline runs today at Goodwood!
The action continues at Glorious Goodwood and there is action at Southwell, Newcastle, Newmarket, Bath, and Musselburgh. Over in Ireland, there is still much more action to watch from Galway as the 5-day festival continues.

We head to Glorious Goodwood with one runner, Oceanline. He runs in the 1:50pm Coral Goodwood Handicap over 2miles 4½f with Jason Hart on board. He has run well in both of his starts on the flat this summer and this distance looks to be worth a try. It is of course a very competitive race but it will be interesting to see how he gets on here.

The Galway hurdle took place yesterday over in Ireland and Nicky Henderson was trying to saddle the a British Galway hurdle winner since 2010. The favourite Petrol Head was forced to not take part after a positive sample following his win at Bellewstown last month. Unfortunately for Henderson, he did not get what he was after in being triumphant but his runner Under Control did run a solid race to finish 6th. The winner came from the Joseph O'Brien yard and it was a nice performance from Nurburgring, winning by 7 lengths. 

The third episode of the Docuseries Champions: Full Gallop will be on screen tonight on ITV1; this episode takes a little insight in the trainers’ championship, I have seen the episode already and it is certainly one you do not want to miss! You can see all the first three episodes on ITVX player.

The Olympics action continues with Team GB adding to their tally of medals – which now totals 20. In the tennis, Andy Murray career came to an end at the Paris Olympics after him and his partner Dan Evans were knocked out of the men's doubles quarter-finals. He's had a fantastic career and there was a great deal of emotion from everyone around who was there to watch and whatever he decides to do next it's only fair to say that British tennis will be very different without him.
