It's Friday 13th and a bit more of a chillier start this morning. There are four flat meetings across Britain today, which are Doncaster, Salisbury, Chester and Sandown. In Ireland, jumps action continues at Ballinrobe for a later afternoon/evening card. No runners for the stable.

Some competitive flat action on today and the Doncaster Cup Stakes features Trueshan who go back 12 months, beat Sweet William by a length and a quarter in this race, this year will be the hope that he can do it again. He's an 8 year-old going into this race, but jockey Hollie Doyle is optimistic he can record back-to-back victories.

Nicky Henderson has mentioned that Constitution Hill had undergone wind surgery earlier this summer, in a hope that this will assist with his breathing for the coming season. Last season the Seven Barrow's stable star missed his spring targets due to a respiratory infection and suspected colic, thankfully after a summer out he seems to be heading to the right direction and remaining healthy. They have recently changed his stable, to a "five star accommodation" which looks to able him to go out in the field for most of the time. Fingers crossed he can have a straightforward season as it'll be lovely to see him back on track!

Yesterday at Epsom, the Jump Jockeys Derby took place and heading for victory was David Noonan on his mount Miller Spirit for Gary and Josh Moore. These types of races are always a bit of fun and helps to keep the jump jockeys eye in as the jump season slowly approaches to get busier in October.

The sporting action elsewhere for the championships of the English Football League Hull City vs. Sheffield United which kicks off at 8pm.

When does a duck wake up?

At the quack of dawn!

Happy Friday!
