Micronormous runs today!
Jumps racing kicks off at Worcester today which is the sole card in Britain. On the flat there is plenty going on with meetings at Newmarket, Haydock and Wolverhampton. In Ireland, there is a mixed card at Listowel and a flat card at Dundalk.
The stable heads to Worcester today with one runner Micronormous, who runs in the 3:10pm Maiden Hurdle over 2miles 4f with Jack Tudor in the saddle. She returned after a lengthy time away from the track at Worcester last time out when finishing 3rd and ran well on her return only beaten 1½ lengths. She's in good form at home, should handle the ground so fingers crossed she can follow up from last time out.
Plenty of conversation led from the changes of the Cheltenham Festival that was announced yesterday, with the festival featuring three additional handicaps. The most radical development of them all, which seems to have caused a lot of opinions is the National Hunt Chase will be staged as a handicap and no longer confined to amateur jockeys. It all came as The Jockey Club look to improve the experience and the competitiveness of the festival altogether and help boost attendance numbers up.
What did the grape do when it got stepped on?
It let a little wine out!
Happy Friday!
