No Jumping Sunday

No runners for the team and no jumps racing at all today. Ffos Las was due to hold a flat card but was abandoned early in the week due to a waterlogged track, so action from Epsom takes place and a last minute card at Southwell takes place also. In Ireland, there is flat racing at the Curragh. 

Plenty of up roar from jockeys after the BHA added a last minute fixture at Southwell which was added to replace the Ffos Las meeting that was lost due to wet weather. The decision to add the fixture has caused serious up roar from the Northern based riders as they have only had one Sunday off with no racing in or near the North since July. There has got to be some balance and the jockeys have raised their concern to the BHA before regarding the Sunday evening fixtures. 

The Irish Cesarewitch takes place today at the Curragh worth a whopping amount of prize money. The race is at 4:25pm and there are 30 runners attempting at glory with a couple of British representatives involved in the mix up. There are always two Group 3 races on the card, the Renaissance Stakes at 3:50pm and the Weld Park Stakes at 2:40pm. 

The football action continues with the Premier League with Ipswich vs. Aston Villa at 2pm kick off and Man U vs. Tottenham Hotspur being the later kick off at 4:30pm.
