October's Here!

It's the start of a new month and it's due to be a much brighter looking week weather wise I think, after a very wet weekend. Today the racing action comes from Sedgefield where they are jumping and on the flat there are meetings at Bath, Ayr and Newcastle. In Ireland, they race on the flat at Cork. The stable have no runners today, looking a fairly quiet week with not long now until the winter season finally gears up again! 

Sean Bowen goes into Sedgefield today with 2 rides while his closest rival at the moment Harry Skelton goes without a ride and his next potential rides on Thursday. Sean is currently 2 in front of Harry with 51 winners, with the winter season yet to fully kick off. I do think it could be another interesting season for the jockeys championship as I'm sure Sean will be as hungry as ever and Harry Skelton being a previous champion jockey he's not afraid of a battle!

Last night in the football in the Premier League AFC Bournemouth vs. Southampton and Bournemouth claimed a comfortable Premier League victory from Southampton whose dismal start to the campaign continued in this match, with the result ending in 3-1. The result lifts Bournemouth to 11th in the table. Lots to look forward to tonight with the UEFA Champions League hosting plenty of matches to watch throughout the evening.
