Thanksforthehelp runs today!
Friday has come back around and the racing action is coming from Uttoxeter and Fakenham who both have jumps card today. Meanwhile on the flat the action comes from Haydock who passed their afternoon inspection yesterday, Redcar and Newcastle. In Ireland there is all weather action coming from Dundalk.
Yesterday we took the trip to Wincanton with two runners, Micronormous travelled and jumped well throughout but just weakened slightly when turning for home, we know she is better than this so there will be other days for her. Dindin looked to struggle to get into a rhythm this time and didn't quite travel or jump as well as he normally does, but he kept galloping all the way to the line and I'm sure there will be another day for him.
Today we head to Uttoxeter with two runners for the stable. Vision De Maine runs in the 3:20pm Handicap Chase over 3miles with Jack Tudor in the saddle, he makes his chasing debut today after having a summers break and he always looks to be one who would appreciate further in trip and has jumped well at home. Thanksforthehelp is our other runner of the afternoon and he runs in the 3:55pm Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 3f with Jack in the saddle. He returns after a break and would probably prefer a slightly longer trip, but he will appreciate the ground today with his two wins coming from on this ground.
The apprentice title is building up as they head towards the last couple of days of the flat season, Sean D Bowen and Joe Levey are both giving it a real good kick for the final straw. At the moment they are both equalling on 40 winners so these last days are crucial for them both. Sean makes his way to Haydock with four rides while Joe also heads there with the same amount - so it is really going to the wire!
