         Mr Tambourine Man runs today
With Perth abandoned the only jumps action to watch is coming from a local one to us at Exeter, with the flat meetings coming from Newcastle and Yarmouth. In Ireland, there is flat racing at the Curragh to watch with no jumps action in Ireland.

With a quiet day for us yesterday, we head to Exeter with two runners both, Mr Tambourine Man and Kepagge. They both run in the 3:53pm Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 7f with Mr Tambourine Man ridden by David Noonan and Kepagge with Jack Tudor in the saddle. Both of these horses like decent ground and considering the amount of rain that has fallen in the last few weeks the ground at Exeter remains good to soft, good in places. Kepagge ran his best race for a while last time out and is in good form at home after a summers break. Mr Tambourine Man won two hurdle races in the summer but has been slightly disappointing in recent starts with going back up in the handicap, but I think they both have a good each way chance today.

One of Seven Barrows talented mares Marie's Rock has been retired, which was announced yesterday. She's been a brilliant mare for the Nicky Henderson team and I think the plan for her now is to be sold as a Broodmare, which I'm sure is something she will be fantastic at as having worked at Seven Barrows a few years ago, I know she really is the most sweetest horse to deal with. The mare has won 9 from her 22 career starts and won just over £350,000 in prize money and there was always talk on how she carried her head extremely high in everything she did, but it obviously seemed to work for her as it never caused her any trouble!

Last night the Premier League action came from Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace and it went the way of Nottingham Forest who came out on top with a 1-0 win. Crystal Palace ended last season with six wins from their final seven games, but after this defeat they are on their longest winless start to a season in 31 years.

Why shouldn't you trust trees?

They can be a little shady!

Happy Tuesday!
