        King Turgeon wins at Chepstow!
Fakenham and Newton Abbot are the jumps cards today in Britain and Newton Abbot hold their final meeting for the season which has certainly not been a straight forward one! The flat action is coming from Nottingham and Kempton on the all-weather. In Ireland, they are back racing today at Dundalk with a flat card.

It's a busy day for us again today with 6 runners altogether over both codes and Jack Tudor rides all of 5 runners at Newton Abbot. We start the day with Castle Daragh who runs at Newton Abbot in the 2:00pm Novices' Hurdle over 2miles 5½f he won a hunter chase at Chepstow on racecourse debut last season and I think you can ignore his recent form at Stratford as we probably shouldn't have run him. He has run well on Soft ground before but whether this ground suits could be a question.

Royal Mer has his first run back after a summers break and runs in the 3:00pm Handicap Hurdle. He is a horse who just kept improving last season and was due to run at Cheltenham last week, but the ground was not soft enough for him so he comes here today where the conditions will suit him much better. Itseemslikeit runs in the 3:30pm Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 5½f he has a maiden win under his belt and returns today after a wind op and is in good form at home.

Pachacuti follows in the race after and runs in the 4:00pm Handicap Chase over 2miles 5f. He finished last season in good form and won the Welsh Jockeys Derby charity race recently which was a nice surprise! It's a drop back in trip for him today, but he's in good form at home. To follow up a busy day at Newton Abbot, Gentleman Toboot makes his stable debut for Pond House in the Bumper at 4:30pm. He won his point to point in nice style in Ireland on soft ground so the ground should be ideal for him today.

Our last runner for the stable today is Ocean Heights who heads to Kempton tonight in the 7:00pm Handicap over 1mile 4f with Jason Watson in the saddle. He's drawn nicely here today and likes the track so hopefully he looks to be able to bounce back to form today.

Well it was a mixed emotions day as unfortunately, we lost dear old Paricolor at Bangor, and he was a super little horse and one of the stable favourites who will be thoroughly missed at Pond House. Orinoco Flow did not seem to get into much of a rhythm and could not quite go with them. King Turgeon brought the ups and downs of the sport as he showed an incredible round of jumping and winning nicely under a cool ride from Harry Cobden. I can only imagine it felt as good for Harry as it was watching on the TV! Lady Balko ran a respectable race on chasing debut and did warm up to jumping the bigger obstacles and she will definitely improve for the run and kept plugging all the way to the line. Allstitchedup rounded off the day at Chepstow in the bumper and raced a little keen and the ground look hard work by the last race, but he will improve from this.

They don't like fast food!

Happy Wednesday!
