Dindin runs at Chepstow today!
The jumps racing comes from Chepstow today which is the only jumps card in Britain, with meetings on the flat coming from Nottingham, Musselburgh and all weather action at Kempton. In Ireland, the racing comes Dundalk with an all weather card.
Yesterday we were at Warwick with two runners. Kolisi travelled and jumped well but when turning for home he looked to have got tired on the run in but will improve further from this run I'm sure. Kepagge didn't seem to travel as well as he can and may appreciate a more galloping track and a slightly softer surface, but I was glad to see our conditional jockey Gearoid ride the winner of the race!
Busy day for the stable today as we head to Chepstow with five runners. Dindin starts the day off and runs in the 12:20pm Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase over 2miles 7½f with Gearoid Harney riding. He did not quite get into a rhythm last time out and did not jump as well he as normally does, but conditions should suit today. Missy Mole runs in the 12:50pm, which is the first division of the Maiden Hurdle over 2miles with Jack Tudor in the saddle. She looked to have found Wincanton a little too sharp, but she made her debut for us at Chepstow so we know the track will not be a problem today.
Jurancon is next up and he runs in the second division of the Maiden Hurdle at 1:20pm with Jack Tudor again. He finished second on hurdling debut to a very nice horse of Kim Baileys last time out and he would have certainly improved even more from that run. River Run Free runs in the 1:50pm Maiden Hurdle over 2miles 3½f with Jack Tudor riding. He made his debut at Chepstow last time out and kept plugging on all the way to the line and jumped well throughout, the step up in trip should suit.
Kingston Queen rounds up the busy day and runs in the bumper at 4:05pm over 2miles with Jack Tudor on board. She makes her stable and rules debut today and is a mare we like a lot at home, she won her point to point in Ireland nicely, which the form from that race has come out good so it'll be interesting to see how she gets on today.
Yesterday the King George entries were revealed and there are 24 of them in total. Notably those not within the entries was Fastorslow or Fact To File who both hold entries in the Grade 1 John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown in later on this month. 14/24 of the entries are trained in Ireland with two further entries from France and it looks to be some of the strongest set of entries.
