Lock Out runs today
There are three jumps card on today which come from Market Rasen, Taunton and Sedgefield. While on the flat there is an all weather meeting coming from Chelmsford with an evening card. In Ireland, Thurles was abandoned, so there is no racing in Ireland today.
It was a quiet day for the stable yesterday with no runners, today we are back at one of our local tracks Taunton with four runners. Stray Bullet runs in the 1:05pm Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 1/2f with Elizabeth Gale riding, last time out he just never got into a rhythm and he didn’t jump fluently. He has plenty to build on but hopefully he can make a step in the right direction today. Tuxedo Junction runs in the 1:40pm Novices’ Hurdle over 2miles 1/2f with Jack Tudor riding. He’s been consistent on his runs over hurdles and just missed out last time out. He looks to be able to improve further today, if he settles and jumps well then he should not be too far away.
Lock Out runs in the 2:50pm Handicap Chase over 2miles 7f with Gearoid Harney riding. He put up a great performance at Chepstow when winning two starts ago and his run after that did not quite work out. The ground looks like it's going to be quick today, but he's in good form at home. African Lady runs in the 3:25pm Mares’ Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 3f with Gearoid Harney riding. She ran well last time out and made a step in the right direction, it was her best run for a while and hopefully she can build on that today.
Yesterday at Bangor, Gordon Elliot's Shecouldbeanything secured her fourth win on the bounce under Sean Bowen when striking victory in the Listed Mares Novice Chase, she kept on well to fend off Jamie Snowdon's You Wear It Well, with Willie Mullins' runner, Space Tourist pulling up. Callum Pritchard is also enjoying plenty of success at the moment as he won the feature race the Handicap Chase with Celebre D'Allen. Callum enjoyed feature success previously at Wincanton last weekend when winning the Badger Beer on Al Dancer and looks to be a jockey with plenty of talent.
What do you get when you mix a cocker spaniel, a poodle and a ghost?
A cocker-poodle boo!
Happy Thursday!
