         Activist runs at Leicester
It has been an action packed weekend so far with for the racing. The jumps action continues at Leicester and Carlisle today. In Ireland, they race over jumps at Fairyhouse and Gordon Elliot looks to try to bid another Grade 1 prize in the 2:05pm Novice Chase as he saddles four of the six runners with the other two coming from Henry De Bromhead. He will look to bid a double Grade 1 prize on the day as Teauphoo takes on Lossiemouth in the 2:40pm Hatton's Grace Hurdle.

We head to Leicester with Activist who runs in the 1:45pm Handicap Hurdle over 1mile 7½f with Jack Tudor in the saddle. He won last time out at the course on his seasonal reappearance. He travelled and jumped well and he galloped all the way to the line. He will have improved from that run again and he is in good form at home and could put up another nice performance.

Over at Carlisle, Caldwell Potter makes his stable debut for the Nicholls team, as they retained him from the Gordon Elliot stable in the A&G Brown Dispersal in February and a bit like Regent’s Stroll; he has built himself up a big profile from his price tag. He has not been in action since December last year, where he won the Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown.

There is point-to-point action at Larkhill this weekend with the ground being described as good and the abandonment of Great Threthew, in Cornwall last weekend has encouraged plenty of entries including the likes of classy types Angel’s Breath and My Drogo, with Saint Calvados’ name making a feature on the entries also.

Did you hear about the new squirrel diet?

It's just nuts!

Happy Sunday!
