It was a busy Saturday yesterday being the last Saturday before Christmas – which still does not feel like it is only a few days away! A bit of a quieter day today as Fakenham is the sole jumps card in Britain and the all-weather action comes from Lingfield only. No racing in Ireland today.

We head to Fakenham with Micronormous who runs in the 1:13pm Mares’ Handicap Chase over 2miles 5f with Jack Tudor on board. She won on her chasing debut last time over course and distance where she jumped well and took to the fences nicely, she has come out of this race well and hopefully; she can back it up again here today.

Tonight the annual jockeys’ awards, The Lester's takes place in association with World Pool. This is the first time it will take place in person since 2018 with it being held at Newbury Racecourse and it's always a great evening to celebrate some of the greatest achievements this year.   

The Premier League action continues today with Everton vs. Chelsea, Fulham vs. Southampton, Leicester vs. Wolves and Man Utd vs. Bournemouth all kick off at 2pm with the latter game coming from Tottenham vs. Liverpool at 4:30pm.
