      Lady Balko winner at Hereford
The racing action comes to a short break for Christmas, before picking back up again with plenty of action on Boxing Day which declarations will be revealed today for a glimpse at the spectacular days planned. It's nice for the jockeys to have some time rare time off with family before getting right back to it. There is still racing in France at Deauville who hosts an eight race card should you want some racing to watch!

Over the weekend, on Saturday Lady Balko backed up her previous wins and completed the hat trick nicely at Hereford with Gearoid Harney riding, she seems to have thrived over the fences and this staying trip and she looks to keep improving each time. Over at Haydock, Royal Mer hasn't quite rejuvenated his form from last season yet but there will be plenty of other days for him. Jilaijone ran another solid race as he always does, but still couldn't quite get another win next to his name! He deserves to get his head in front and hopefully it won't be long until he can! Yesterday we had just the one runner, which was Micronormous at Fakenham and she wasn't beaten all that far, it was a close battle to the finish, i'm sure she will have plenty more other days in her.

Last night in Newbury saw the Lester's which is always a popular evening to celebrate some of the best achievements of the recent year. Sean Bowen picked up the Jump Jockey of the year award, while Joe Anderson came away with Jump ride of the year from his impressive recovery aboard Transmission at Plumpton. While the Flat & Jump Jockey Special Recognition Award went to Graham Lee which is massively deserved.

Over the weekend the football has plenty of action going on. Manchester United suffered a three goal home defeat by the high flying Bournemouth for the second year in a row while Chelsea also had a frustrating game with a goalless draw to Everton, handing a major boost to the Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Why couldn't the bicycle stand up by itself?

Because it was two tyred!

Have a great Monday!
