King Turgeon runs at Musselburgh Today
The good racing action continues today with the second day of action at Musselburgh and for the Dublin Racing Festival at Leopardstown.  There is also an all-weather meeting on the flat at Lingfield.  We have one runner today, King Turgeon who runs in the Edinburgh National at Musselburgh.  He is joint second best in the betting at 13/2 for the race due off at 2.25pm and Jack Tudor rides.  He has already had a fantastic season to date, winning his first three starts which includes the Grand Sefton chase over the Grand National fences and at Cheltenham.  He finished a close third at Wincanton on his last start and the handicapper nudged him up another pound to 140 for that run.

The ground was probably not ideal that day and I think he will prefer the sounder surface he will get today.  The trip is the unknown this afternoon but I don't see why he won't get it and this race will tell us more about our Grand National aspirations.  He carries top weight again today and it is a right handed track which are the slight negatives but it is no different than Wincanton last time and I don't see why it will pose too much of a problem.  He needs to go up a few more pounds in the handicap to give us a better chance in making the top 34 for the National so we will know more later today.  He travelled up well yesterday and stayed the night ahead of racing.

Today at Leopardstown it is Lossiemouth against State Man in the Irish Champion hurdle at 3.20pm, I am a Lossiemouth fan but Paul Townend has gone with State Man.  Gaelic Warrior heads the market for the Dublin chase at 2.10pm over 2m1f and I think he will be hard to beat.  Ballyburn is favourite in the three mile novices chase at 1.10pm and it promises to be another good day for the Mullins team.

There are three Premiership football matches today, Brentford are at home to Spurs and Manchester United are at home to Crystal Palace, both at 2pm.  The 4.30pm match is a big game between Arsenal and Manchester City.

I hate it when I mean to buy seedless grapes, but instead I accidentally get...

Well, you know...Oreos!

Happy Sunday!
