It's the start of a new week and the racing today, comes from Southwell and Carlisle who both have jumps cards. The all-weather card comes from Wolverhampton this evening and there is no racing in Ireland today. No runners for the stable today.

It was a sad day for racing yesterday as we learned the passing of Irish jockey Michael O'Sullivan, he'd taken a nasty fall at the beginning of February and it was announced yesterday morning that he had passed in the early hours surrounded by his family. I didn't know him personally, but everyone who spoke about him was always full of glowing stories and it's sure he will be missed amongst the racing community by lots. He was such a talented rider and times like this is when the racing world come together and support one another, my thoughts go out to his family and those who knew him closest.

Yesterday at Buckfastleigh, Fighter Allen ran in the mixed open and was pulled up by Martin McIntyre. He had dead heated last weekend so this race may have just come a little too quick for him. Jack Pipe made his debut on his pony Candy Kisses in the pony race which went off at 11am. He had a nice, safe round and it was a brilliant start for him and I know he'll be itching to get back out again soon!

Yesterday in the football for the Premier League, Liverpool 2-1 Wolverhampton and Tottenham 1-0 Man U. Today there is a Championship game between Leeds and Sunderland which is due off at 8pm.

What's small, red and has a rough voice?

A hoarse raddish!

Have a great Monday!
