Today there is jumps action coming from Huntingdon and Lingfield, with the all-weather action coming from Newcastle this evening. They are back racing in Ireland today with a jumps card at Punchestown after Thurles abandoned their card as a mark of respect to Michael O’Sullivan. No runners for the stable today.
Thankfully, Doncaster yesterday was given the go-ahead after a second inspection, we made the long trip up with Skin Full and he was very unlucky to just lose out on the line. He was given a lovely patient ride from Jack Tudor and a first try at the new distance which he has always looked to be one who would appreciate further so it was good to see him handle that well. I'm sure it won't be long before he can get his head in front.
The BetVictor Quevega Mares Hurdle has been added to the rearranged Punchestown card; Jade De Grugy for the Willie Mullins team is in the line-up and will be making an appearance for the first time since she landed a Fairyhouse grade 1 last March, so it will be interesting to see how she gets on today.
Last night in the football in the Premier League, Aston Villa and Liverpool could do no better then to equalise as their match finished with a 2-2 result. All eyes set to be on Marcus Rashford as he made his first appearance for Villa following his loan arrival from Manchester United.
I burnt 1000 calories yesterday - I left my pizza in the oven!
Have a great Thursday!
