What an incredible Open Meeting the yard enjoyed at Cheltenham over the weekend with Great Endeavour's impressive Paddy Power success supplementing the hat-trick enjoyed by the yard on Friday.  Great Endeavour produced an amazing performance to dot up in the big race - he received a great ride from Timmy and even a mistake at the last did nothing to stop his momentum as he bounded up the hill.  He certainly looks as though he will get further and David will now have to decide whether to aim him for the Hennessy at Newbury over 3m2f - he would receive a 4lbs penalty in the Newbury feature, which would make him attractively weighted - I am sure the handicapper would give him a good sight more if the weights had not already been announced!

I see that David is also considering having a crack at reigning Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Long Run with Grands Crus in Haydock's Betfair Chase on Saturday.  Grands Crus was very impressive on his chasing debut at Cheltenham on Friday and it would make for a mouth watering clash.  One thing is for sure, there should be plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks.

Young Tom Bellamy enjoyed the thrill of a lifetime when winning the amateur jockey's race on his first ride at Cheltenham aboard Swing Bill and I see that Tom is talking about his best friend Willie Twiston-Davies.  Apparently the pair of them went to school together near Cheltenham along with WIllie's older brother Sam.  Imagine having to teach the three of them!...I bet the teachers used to look forward to their summer holidays!

Did you know that you can get 18 jockeys in a Mini?  The jocks were raising money for the Greatwood Racehorse Charity and managed to gather £1800 for the cause.  Just think, you could probably get twice as many flat jockeys in a Mini!

Congratulations to connections of Snow Fairy who put up another amazing performance when winning in Japan at the weekend.  The filly won by a neck under a great ride from Ryan Moore and duly collected £741,616.67 - what a great horse she is!
