It was a very wet start to the day yesterday and Wincanton were forced to abandon their meeting, but it looks a much brighter start this morning and no interference with the meetings planned. The jumps action comes from Taunton and Ludlow, while the all-weather action comes from Newcastle and an evening card at Chelmsford. They are back racing Ireland with a jumps card coming from Clonmel.

It's a busy day for the stable and firstly we head to Taunton with three runners. Missy Mole starts the action for us there, in the 2:25pm Novices’ Limited Handicap Hurdle over 2miles 3f with David Noonan riding. She ran well last time out with a step in the right direction and I think a step up in trip will suit her today.

Sirekoff runs next in the 3:35pm Handicap Hurdle over 3miles with David Noonan riding. He ran well enough in deteriorating conditions last time out and the step up in trip should suit so if he can build on that run he could run well here. Purple Owl concludes our action at Taunton and runs in the 4:45pm Bumper over 2miles 1/2f with David Noonan riding. He makes his debut for Pond House today and has won an Irish point to point previously; he has a nice attitude and it will be interesting to see how he gets on.

We then have one runner at Ludlow, Walkadina who runs in the 2:35pm Novices’ Hurdle over 2miles with Jack Tudor. She has had a wind op since her last run as she just looked to find little in the closing stages. She is in good form at home and I would be hopeful she could improve on her recent efforts.

There was plenty of Premier League action last night with Brentford 1-1 Everton, Man-U 3-2 Ipswich, Nottingham Forest 0-0 Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur 0-1 Man City and Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle. The action continues tonight with West Ham vs. Leicester City due to kick off at 8pm.

I had a bloke throw milk and cheese at me yesterday - my first thought was "how dairy!"

Have a great Thursday!
