Debut for Dave

A Quieter day today with jumps cards coming Huntingdon and Doncaster, there are no all-weather cards on today. In Ireland, they are jumping at Leopardstown.

We are at Doncaster today with Chemical Dave who makes his career debut here today. He has done all that we have asked of him at home since we  bought him in the store sales last year. It will be a completely new experience today for him and it will be interesting to see how he gets on.  He is a full brother to Manuelito who we used to train and a half brother to Navajo Pass who is a smart hurdles and Navajo Indy who is a bumper and hurdles winner.  He has the pedigree and has been for a racecourse gallop but today will be his first day at school so to speak!  He is about 10/1 in the betting in what looks a competitive race but fingers crossed he has an each way chance.

We are also heading to Larkhill with some point to pointers and African Lady and Royal Defender go there, Martin McIntyre is set to ride. African Lady made a promising debut before and looks a winner in waiting. Royal Defender will be looking to build on his previous runs and hopefully go one better this time!

The FA Cup action continues with Newcastle vs. Brighton at 1:45pm and Man Utd vs. Fulham rounding up the action kicking off at 4:30pm.

What do cakes and cricket have in common? They both need a good batter!
