Quieter Week

I find that Royal Ascot is a bit like Cheltenham week, there is a lot of build-up and then it is over so fast!  I enjoyed watching a lot of the action and do love the tradition and ceremony.  This week is set to be a little quieter on the racing front and I will be enjoying a few days away in Portugal!

There is no jumps action today but there are three flat meetings at Wolverhampton, Chepstow and Windsor while in Ireland they have a flat card at Ballinrobe.  The stable does not have any runners today.

This week, a lot of people will be in Ireland for the Tattersalls Derby Sale which takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday.  There are lots of store horses with nice pedigrees on offer that will make some good money.  This year’s Derby Sale features 449 lots, with an additional 201 catalogued in Part II of the sale.

The group matches continue in the FIFA Club World Championships and Manchester City are in action at 2am in the morning against Al Ain.  PSG and Real Madrid are the more well know European teams also playing today. 

Today is the fourth day of the England against India test match. 

A friend of mine asked if I believe in monogamy.

I said, “Believe in it? I’ve got a table made of it”!
