A slightly busier looking day with action over both codes in Britain, Uttoxeter has the sole jumps card in Britain, which takes place this evening. Over on the flat, the cards come from Lingfield, Pontefract and Brighton this evening. In Ireland, they are racing on the flat at Tramore. It is a quiet day for us, as we have no runners for the stable today.

Yesterday afternoon we made the trip to Worcester with two runners. Micronormous was pretty keen to start off with, she finished her race lame after sustaining a small cut, but she will be all ok thankfully. Nini Star never looked to get into a rhythm throughout her race. It was quite a big field of a race which always makes it difficult to get a good position, but going forwards I think she'll appreciate a more handier position to help her confidence.

Over on the flat action, last year’s Sandringham Stakes winner Soprano for the George Boughey team, bids to make it two from two in Listed Company this season at Pontefract in their feature race, the Weatherbys Hamilton Pipalong Stakes that takes place at 3:10pm.

Stumps or Slips retained his unbeaten record for Olly Murphy yesterday at Worcester under the Champion Jockey Sean Bowen, the horse who was in training previously with Tom Weston has obviously enjoyed the change of scenery and it seems to be working! The win was also important to Sean as it tallied up his 50th winner of the season so far!

at Wimbledon yesterday it provided plenty of action as Jannik Sinner progressed to the quarter-finals from his match against Grigor Dimitrov who was sadly forced to retire to injury in an emotional end to their match. World number one Sinner was staring at the prospect of a shock defeat as he trailed Dimitrov by two sets but after he could not continue Jannik took the victory.

What did the grape say when it got stepped on?

Nothing - it just let out a little wine!

Have a great Tuesday!
