There are five flat meetings today at Musselburgh, Brighton, Thirsk, Haydock and Newmarket.  In Ireland they have a flat card at Tipperary and a jumps card at Wexford.  The stable does not have any runners.  

Last night was leg three of the racing league at Chepstow and it also marks the half way point of the competition.  The East remain at the top of the table with 395 points, with London and the South in second on 379 and Yorkshire in third on 353.  Richard Kingscote still heads the jockeys table on 186 points and has a healthy lead on Daniel Muscutt who has 132 points.  The fourth leg comes from Windsor next Thursday 14th August 2025.

Looking ahead to racing at the weekend, The Phoenix Stakes is the only Group 1 race in Britain and Ireland but we have the Shergar Cup at Ascot and plenty of top level action from further afield.  There is Grade 1 action in America on Saturday evening at Saratoga and Charlie Appleby saddles two runners in a bid to win the prize with Willliam Buick heading over to ride Nations Pride.  There is also British interest in the Arlington Million at Colonial Downs with Alice Haynes sending Cairo over to run in this with Ben Curtis booked to ride.  It is a race the Brits have done well in, in the past with Nations Pride actually winning this race twelve months ago and fellow trainers David O'Meara, John Gosden, Aidan O'Brien and Saeed Bin Suroor have all won this race in the last 25 years.  In Germany on Sunday, the Godolphin blue colours will be carried by Rebel's Romance will be going for his eighth Group 1 success at Hoppergarten.  He currently has a three from three record when running in Germany and I wouldn't bet against him making it four.  Young, Billy Loughnane travels over to ride him with William Buick firstly in Saratoga on Saturday and then back to ride in Deauville on Sunday! There is also some top class action in Deauville on Sunday with plenty of British interest as well.  So if you like flat racing, especially International flat racing then you have plenty to look forward to over the weekend!

Last night in the cricket Hundred competition the Northern Superchargers beat the Welsh Fire by eight wickets.  Today it is the turn of the Birmingham Phoenix who are at home to the Trent Rockets.
