Doncaster Runners

October Hill runs in the final race on the card at 4.40pm and Rian Corcoran rides.  This is her first run in handicap company and it is a mares event.  She has had just the two starts for us and run well in two novice events to be fourth and third at Taunton and I think today's more galloping track will suit her better.  She shows a good attitude and although it looks a competitive race, I would like to think she won't be far away.  There are shares still available in her should anyone be interested please do get in touch!

In Ireland they have jumps racing at Thurles today while there is just one all-weather flat card at Southwell later this afternoon.

Tonight we have the opening match of the Six Nations rugby, Ireland travel to Paris to play France in what should be a cracking game which kicks off just after 8pm.  It nearly caught me out being on a Thursday, I knew the tournament was upcoming and the games can be on a Friday but I didn't realise Thursday was the new Friday!  

Manchester City will play Arsenal in the English League Cup Final at Wembley after comfortably beating Newcastle last night.  They won the match 3-1 and were 5-1 winners on aggregate.

The Winter Olymptics action continues today with more Curling, Snowboarding and Ice Hockey should any of that take your fancy!

A frog got his DNA tested.

Turns out he's part Irish, part British, and a tad Pole!
