David will be in the hot seat on Monday night when he makes a guest appearance on the Racing Post's online Twitter Chat between 7.30pm and 8pm.  You can ask David a question by tweeting or e-mailing the Post - I wonder if he will get any tricky ones?  I think I will send in a couple myself!  Anyway, don't bother asking what race Grands Crus is going to run in at the Festival because as we have seen with recent events surrounding Kauto Star, the only sensible decision is to leave it as late as possible and weigh-up his most suitable objective when you have the greatest amount of accurate information at your disposal.

There was a great pullout in the Racing Post of some of the Cheltenham Greats.  I had rather thought that Buena Vista might well have featured in the list.  Just think how many times over the years our eleven year old has run at the Festival and this year he bids for a remarkable hat-trick in the Pertemps handicap hurdle.  He is on his highest mark so far in the race so it will take an amazing performance to complete the treble, but David says that he will once again be claiming off of him (as he has done with Hadden Frost and Conor O'Farrell in the last two renewals) - there would be few more popular winners at the Festival if he could do it again!

Poole Master booked his place at Cheltenham with an impressive success at Newbury on Friday and he certainly earned a pick of grass after that effort.  Below you can see him enjoying himself in the paddocks.

Talking of Cheltenham, I see that sales haved passed 200,000 for the first time.  It doesn't really surprise me - interest seems to be sky high this year and our hospitality marquee has been booked full to bursting point for some time now!  It looks like the four days are going to be a huge success as usual...roll on the Festival!
