Today see's the start of the Festival. I am so excited we are actually here! The stable has three runners today, Catch Tammy, The Package and Battle Group and I saw them loaded on the lorry for racing at 7am. They all look in good form but it looks a tricky day. The Package has done plenty of work and has a good chance in the 2.40pm race while I saw Battle Group school very well during the week. I think it could be a day of short price favourites! David's runners yesterday performed okay and Katchmore won in a canter on his debut for Pond House. He won by an eased down 10 lengths but lets just hope the handicapper does not over react as although he did it nicely and it wasn't the best race.

At Cheltenham this week our marquee is full to capacity everyday. Its a great atmosphere and we have the jockeys come in at midday to give their opinions on the days action. You don't have to take any notice of them though if you don't want to! Motor mouth Matt Chapman makes an appearance on one of the days in the marquee and he is the only one that does not need a microphone and every tent in the village can hear him! I just wish I could give everyone sunglasses to take the glare of his suntan away - only joking Matt! It is great that he comes into our marquee as he does keep everyone entertained. I always watch the first race on the lawn by the winning line. When the tape goes up the cheers are deafening. If you have never been to the Festival you must go just once as the roar is something everyone should hear. If you can't make it howvever, sit back, relax and enjoy the best jumps racing in the world on the telly. Have a good day everyone and fingers crossed for a winner but most importantly all the horses and jockeys come back safe and sound.
