Katchmore Bids To Follow Up

The stable has one runner at Exeter this afternoon, Katchmore, who was successful on his Pond House debut at Taunton last week.  Young Tom Bellamy more than offsets the penalty earned for that success with his 10lbs claim and he is due a sharp rise in future handicaps so he looks to be a leading contender today.

It all seems a little flat after last week's action from the Cheltenham Festival, and while there are three meetings on this afternoon, two on them are on the all-weather at Kempton and Southwell.  I guess at least we still have the Grand National at Aintree next month to look forward to.  The thing that always amazes me though is how different the Cheltenham and Aintree racegoers are...Aintree is full of Matt Chapman lookalikes and by that, I mean they are all bright orange with their fake tans!

It was a shame that I couldn't get a wager on as my wife was right about the "Corrie Killer" - it was indeed Frank's mother that killed her son.  I have had to put up with her gloating since last night...I gave her the Racing Post this morning and told her to sort me out a winner!

I am looking foward to the big football match tonight between my team West Ham and Middlesborough.  Unfortunately the Hammers cannot win at home - let's hope they can change that tonight.  My season ticket holder mates tell me that they are not enjoying the football that West Ham are playing - it is not entertaining and it certainly isn't producing results.

I see that Rory McIlroy was at the White House recently and he has been enlisted to help President Obama with his golf swing.  Obama was seen at a basketball game with David Cameron only last week - surely these guys should be sorting out the rest of the world first?!  That should take few weeks, but his golf swing could take much longer to sort out!
