Arab League after Winning at
Taunton Last Time

The stable has four runners at local track Taunton this afternoon, Arab League, Dukes Art, Woodlark Island and On Khee.  It is glorious sunshine once again and I am sre it will be a hot afternoon at Taunton both on and off the track!  Arab League is a big odds on chance in the Racing Post and young Francis Hayes takes a valuable ten pounds off his back.  Frank has won on the gelding before and he is already twice a course winner this season.  Woodlark Island was a winner at Wincanton last time out and On Khee was second at Plumpton on her last outing.  Fingers crossed David may have a good afternoon!  On Khee was last seen at the Cheltenham Festival running in the charity race with atthreraces presenter Gina Bryce in the saddle.  She ran well that day to finish fifth and it is hoped she can open her account over hurdles this afternoon.

Yesterday at Market Rasen Presenting Ace finished third carrying top weight of 11st 12lb.  He was only beaten 1 1/2 lengths trying to give the winner 11 pounds and the runner up 12 pounds so it was probably not a bad effort and he just needs a little help from the handicapper!  Frosted Grape was a bit disappointing as she looks on a fair mark but was not on a going day yesterday.  At Hereford Unex Degas looks like he did not stay 2m4f and I think he maybe dropped back in trip next time.

What about Graham Lee returning to the saddle to ride on the flat?  He did weigh 9st12lb before his injury but now weights 8st12lb!  If only I had that problem of trying to keep weight on!  Graham is not the biggest person in the world and will find the flat easier with hopefully no falls!  I see Ladbrokes are making him 6/4 to ride 50 or more winners in his first season which I think is possible.  He has always been a great rider and I know switching codes is not easy but I think he will do well and would like to wish him the best of luck.

Our Grand National hope Junior maybe starring in an episode of Top Gear!  James May will be down at Pond House next week with a camera crew.  I am not sure what they are doing but we shall keep you posted on when the piece maybe on our screens.  It is a shame that Jeremy Calrkson is not coming, I would like to see him on a horses, a different kind of horse power!

There were two great football results last night.  Chelsea won at Benfica and even better the Hammers won at Peterborough - does it get any better!
