Qulinton after Winning at Market Rasen
David has runners at local track Newton Abbot this afternoon as well as two at Haydock. Terfels Toscar, Ladyvie and Qalinas all run at the Devon track and have good chances while Presenting Ace and Qulinton are on their way to Haydock, where there is some very competitive racing for some good prize money on offer.
Unfortunately yesterday David broke the news that The Package will not be running in this years Grand National. After time off he came back to run a great race at the Cheltenham Festival but he has just taken a little longer to recover from this race than we would have hoped and he will not be ready in time for the big race next Saturday. He will probably now go on his holidays and come back fresh and well for next season. David still has two runners going for the National with Junior and Swing Bill on course to line up in the Grand National.

I see the Racing Post is now £2.20 today. I wish they would keep it the same price everyday. It does seem to change quite a bit and I never have the right amount of change on me! The bit that did catch my eye in the paper was AP on a camel. Yes, AP rode a camel at the Lambourn Open Day yesterday. After a slow start he managed to beat John Francome, he even tries in camel races! They tell me the schooling session with Francome was very good after first getting a lot of stick from leg lock Luke! All the jockeys dropped their irons for the schooling, the same length that Luke used to ride! As I have mentioned before, Luke had a 100% record riding for MCP. We were short of a jockey on a bank holiday and we put Luke on board and he managed to win. When Luke phoned up for another ride we said we want to keep your 100% record! Sorry Luke, I am only joking and you are now a great presenter!
My football bets for today are Stoke 4/6, Sheffield United 7/10 and Birmingham 4/7.
