The yard continues in good form with another winner last night at Worcester courtesy of Broadway Buffalo in the National Hunt Flat race. The winner owned by first time owners, Rugby Internationals Andy Powell and Mark Cueto made short work of his rivals to win going away by ten lengths. He is bred to be even better over a longer trip and looks a highly promising sort - once again it demonstrates David's good eye for a horse, having bought him at Cheltenham last season. Apparently the lads had a few quid on their winner, but were disappointed by the price - I wish I could back a 5/1 winner everyday!

A number of our other runners performed creditably with Enfant de Lune showing up well until looking like he did not quite get home over this 2m7f trip, while Soulard and Laustra Bad also showed up well in the handicap hurdle.
Although we do not have any runners there is still plenty of action to enjoy with five meetings taking place with flat action at Goodwood, Haydock, Salisbury and Sandown, plus a jumps meeting at Wetherby. Pond House jockeys Tom Scu and Conor O'Farrell both have mounts at the northern track - it's an awful long way to go if they have no chance so maybe that is a tip in itself. Having said that, Hayley Turner only had one ride the other day and when questioned about it she told them that it was because she couldn't get any more so I suppose that theory goes out of the window!

I see that Michael Owen will be participating in a five-a-side football match this evening with a few friends. He tweeted "if any scouts fancy dropping down to assess my form they are welcome!". Owen was recently released by Manchester United.
Talking of football, I was intrigued to read about the Greek coaches view of his group in Euro 2012. Apparently all four teams have a 25% chance of progressing - I wonder if he is also responsible for the economy?! I bet he also says there could be three results in a match!
