Today there are three meetings across the country, two on the flat at Windsor and Salisbuy and a jumps card at Uttoxeter.  The stable does not have any runners but it is a good card at Uttoxeter which includes the John Smiths Summer Cup, a listed handicap chase worth £20,000.  This race has attracted a field of 16 runners and Peter Bowen looks like he could have a great chance of landing the prize with two fancied runners.  It is not hard to believe with the weather so random at the moment but it just shows the extremes with Newcatsle being waterlogged and racing nearly abandoned yesterday, Uttoxeter say they could water the ground if necessary!

David has one runner on the flat at Windsor tomorrow evening, On Khee.  She has been very unlucky in a couple of hurdle races this winter but she is in fine form at home and  we hope she runs well carrying top weight tomorrow.

Looking back on the football over the last few days it does seem very strange that Cristiano Ronaldo did not take a penalty in the shoot out against Spain.  You would have thought that Ronaldo would have grabbed the ball and taken the first kick being captain and a regular penalty taker.  I just wonder if he had the bottle?!  Anyway, it is the final today between Italy and Spaion and it should be an interesting 90 minutes.  Italy are 11/4 to be crowned Eurpoean champions while Spain are 5/4.  I am not sure that Italy should be such a big price and I think the match is evenly balanced.  I do wonder though what sort of mood Mario Balotelli will be in and if he is on a going day then he could be the difference between the two teams.

Meanhwile on the domestic front, my team West Ham could end up being an old peoples home!  I see they are now trying to sign William Gallas from Spurs.  They have just got rid of one 34 year old and now they are trying to sign another!  There youth policy must be working really well.  Have a nice day.
