It is quite day for the yard as we do not have any runners, although there are four meetings taking place this afternoon with three flat cards at Hamilton, Brighton and Kempton as well as a jumps card at Stratford.  Perth have not been so lucky following persistent heavy rainfall and have alreadyabandoned their two day meeting that was scheduled to take place on Wednesday and Thursday.
What about lucky punter Thomas Galligan?...he was completely oblivious to the fact that he had landed the Scoop 6 and was entitled to over £30,000 in winnings!  He had picked a non-runner in his bet and was unaware that his selection was substituted for a winning favourite until the staff of his local betting shop saw him and let him know.  Surely he owes all of the staff a good drink?!
I was watching the action yesterday afternoon from Wolverhampton and anyone who had bet the odds-on about the 2/5 favourite Oasis Cannes must have been panicking turning into the home straight.  Jockey Luke Morris really had to get serious with the two year old to get him home in front...he already looks to be crying out for another couple of furlongs.  Listen to me telling Sir Mark Prescott what trip his horse needs!

Let's hope that new Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas gets the players on his side.  He must have upset the senior players at Chelsea as they soon downed tools and he certainly has a hard act to follow in Harry Redknapp - Harry was certainly the most likeable manager any team could wish for.  I think that Ladbrokes must be having a laugh when they offer 6/4 about a Chelsea player signing for Spurs during the Summer transfer window.

Who said that Tiger Woods was finished?  Woods won teh AT&T National by two shots to land his 74th career US Tour win.  That puts him one in front of the legendary Jack Nicklaus and just eight behind all-time leader Sam Snead.
