Today we have no runners for the stable but there is jumps racing at Market Rasen and Sedgefield and flat action at Chester, Ascot Nottingham and Ripon. In Ireland, there is a meeting under both codes today; Cork has flat action while Downpatrick has a jumps card.

There are two jumps meetings today at Huntingdon and Stratford but the stable does not have any runners.  We move onto day three of Chester’s big meeting and they also race on the flat at Brighton and Chelmsford.  In Ireland they race on the flat at Gowran Park and over jumps at Tipperary.

    Only Fools runs at Fontwell this Evening

We were due to have runners at both Newton Abbot and Fontwell today but unfortunately the former lost yet another meeting after it was forced to abandoned yesterday with heavy ground and false patches the reason for it being called off.  We are now just left with one runner today, Only Fools at Fontwell this evening.

It seems a little strange to me but we are on day four of the new jump season, supposedly a quieter time of year and there are actually four jumps meetings today, more than most of the time during the winter! We have runners at three different meetings today and our lorry set off early travelling to Fakenham, Southwell, and Hereford.

              Neon Moon runs today!
It is of course a bank holiday Monday and that means lots of racing! There are two jumps meetings at Kempton and Warwick and three flat meetings at Beverly, Windsor and Bath. In Ireland, they have a meeting under both codes they race on the flat at the card and over jumps at Down Royal. We have our first runners of the new season today with two at Kempton, Neon Moon and Kepagge.

Punchestown is all done and dusted for another year and today there is no jumps racing scheduled. That being said there is plenty of action on the flat to watch with action at Newmarket, Hamilton and Salisbury. In Ireland, they have flat action at Sligo.

Today is the start of the new season in Britain, the stable does not have any runners. It is the last day of the Punchestown Festival over in Ireland. Yesterday some more milestones were met, as State Man grabbed his tenth Grade 1 success in the Punchestown Champion Hurdle, his record at Punchestown is now 5 from 5! It was mentioned that the plan for State Man for next season to stay hurdling and he may even have a clash with Constitution Hill in the future, which would be quite the race I think! His trainer Willie Mullins also cracked another record as he became the most winning Irish trainer as Ballyburn notched up his 4,378th victory!
