Today there are just two meetings taking place - one over the jumps at Taunton and one on the flat at Kempton's all-weather meeting.  The good news is that Taunton are not planning an inspection - they have frost covers over the course and are clearly confident of racing going ahead.  The stable is due to have six runners - Guess Again, Standing Ovation, Home Run (pictured above), Doctor Harper, Milor de la Borie and Bois des Aigles.  The bumper should be very informative, especially as the stable has three runners in the race (all debutants) - these races can be very tricky to assess with no form to go on.  The horses have to take in all the new surroundings and they could well show signs of greenness (inexperience) on their first outing.  We also have a fascinating video of the horses in action on the gallops this morning, including several of this weekend's Cheltenham entries.

Unfortunately Hexham and Leicester have already been forced to abandon today's jumps card due to frost.  It does surprise me a little as the forecasters were a little off-beam down here - we were prepared for temperatures of as low as -5°c but surprisingly they didn't materialise.  Nevertheless, we have a couple of meetings to look forward to on the all-weather at Lingfield and Kempton if all else fails.

Today there are three meetings planned - two over the sticks at Fontwell and Sedgefield as well as an all-weather flat card at, you guessed it - Lingfield!  The good news is that fortunately both turf meetings have passed early morning inspections and have been given the all-clear to race.  Quinte du Chatelet (pictured above, courtesy of www.thejockey.com) is our only runner this afternoon and he participates in the 2m6f novices' handicap chase at 1.10pm - he will be partnered by Tom Bellamy who takes a handy 7lbs off the topweight's back.

There are three meetings taking place today after Musselburgh survived an early morning inspection ahead of their jumps card.  There is also action for National Hunt fans at Fakenham, while Lingfield host an all-weather flat card.  The stable has no runners today.  It was a good weekend for the yard though with a whole host of horses running well and Sona Sasta making a winning seasonal reappearance on the really testing ground at Chepstow on Saturday under amateur Mikey Ennis.  It is good to see the stable continuing in good form.

Today there are three meetings, two over jumps at Kelso and Warwick and some flat racing at Lingfield.  David does not have any runners today but probably the most exciting fixture involving our yard today is that at Wadebridge in Cornall at the point to point!  Head lad, Eddie Buckley's son his having his first ride this afternoon.  Kieren regularly rides out at Pond Huose on a Saturday and in the school holidays.  Today he is riding is own horse, former yard in-mate Mous of Men in the novice riders race.  Young Kieren already looks more stylish than his dad, but that would not be too difficult!  I hear a lot of the staff our going down to support him so good luck Kieren but if I was you I would stick to Golf!  Check back here tomorrow for news of how he gets on.

I see Nigel Twiston-Davies is going all the way up to Kelso today with just one runers so it could be a good idea to keep an eye on this one.  Cotswold Charmer wuns in the 2.25pm race.

It was a good day for the stable again yesterday with an across the card double at Sandown and Exeter.  Tanerko Emery got up to win by half a length at Sandown.  Conor O'Farrell gave our winner a very confident ride and he looks sure to be able to win again.  He has now won two of his three starts since joining Pond House, while also finsihing runner up at Cheltenham in a competitive race.  He is a horse to look forward to for the rest of the season and it was great to get another winner for his owners, Walters Plant Hire Ltd.  Home Run won the first race at Exeter and gave young Sam Welton his first winner for David his second career winner.  It was only a moderate race but he should be able to win again if kept to this sort of grade.  He is entered for Taunton next week and could turn out there has he escapes a penalty for winning yesterday.  Sam joined our team back in August and was having only his second ride for the stable so it was great to see him get off the mark.  He did pick up a three day ban from the stewards but he gave our four year old a nice ride and hopefully there should be more to come!

Today there are three meetings taking place - two over the jumps at Sandown and Exeter as well as an all-weather flat card at Lingfield.  The stable has two runners at Sandown - Starlife who will be partnered by young Kieron Edgar who takes a handy 10lbs off her back and Tanerko Emery (pictured above) who will be ridden by Conor O'Farrell.  Meanwhile, we will be busy at Exeter where we have five runners - Kilrye, Home Run, Shaking Hands, Diamond Life and Storm Lantern.  The stable has been in good form, especially our bumper horses so let's hope that newcomer Storm Lantern can maintain the trend on his first start for the yard.
