Today we have four meetings to look forward to with just one on the flat at Newmarket plus 3 jump cards from Ascot, Wetherby and Ayr.  Ascot has come up with £238,000 in prize money and the stable runs Poole Master and Gevrey Chambertin at the Berkshire track.  Gevrey Chmbertin won a 3 runner novices' chase at Bangor on good ground but will find this altogether a different test this afternoon - if he can reproduce his best hurdle rating of 147 he would go very close.  He is about a 10/1 chance with some of the firms and looks to have each way claims.  Poole Master has Michael Heard taking a handy 7lbs off his back.  Meanwhile Taj Badalandabad makes the long trip up to Wetherby and makes his hurdling debut under Conor O'Farrell.  Unbeaten in two starts in bumpers he looks like an exciting hurdling prospect and would appear to hold leading claims today.

Yesterday the stable had a winner at Stratford with Street Entertainer (pictured above) recording his third success of the season by winning the seller with very little difficulty - I wish that all odds-on shots would win like this.  He looks a cut above this class and should continue to pay his way.  Meanwhile, I thought that bumper winner Mount Haven also ran a good race to finish second in the maiden hurdle.  It looked like a good race on paper and he certainly looks more than capable of winning again.

Today we have four meetings - two cards on the flat at Lingfield and Kempton as well as National Hunt action from Stratford and Sedgefield.  The stable has three runners at Stratford this afternoon; Mount Haven, Street Entertainer and Moncarno - stable jockey Tom Scudamore is aboard all three of them.  I thought that the first race with Mount Haven looked like a particularly good one for the track.  Our runner was a ready winner on his stable debut before running creditably last time and he should once again give a good account, although I have heard that the Bailey team fancy their runner Gold Man.  Meanwhile Street Entertainer looks to be the one to beat in the 1.40pm race.

Today we have four meetings taking place with two on the level at Nottingham and Kempton as well as jumps fixtures from Taunton and Worcester.  The stable has a pair of runners at each National Hunt meeting - Smiles For Miles and Bengali run at Worcester while Houston Dynimo and A Hairy Koala take part at Taunton.  Bengali (pictured above) was the very impressive winner of a mares' bumper at Sedgefield on her racecourse debut, winning with her head in her chest.  Although this looks like quite a competitive race for it's type, she will have learned plenty from her first start and another big run is expected.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with three of them on the level from Catterick, Windsor and Wolverhampton as well as a jumps card from Ffos Las.  The stable runs one on the level at Windsor and one in the bumper at Ffos Las.  Dalgig makes his debut for the stable at Windsor having been claimed last time - this is tougher, although he is a course and distance winner and will enjoy the soft ground - he looks to have each way prospects at odds of around 7/1.  Meanwhile For 'N' Against makes his racecourse debut in the bumper at Ffos Las and while he will learn from the experience you can never discount the stable runners in these events as David has an enviable record in these contests over the last few years.

There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with two on the level from Leicester and Redcar as well as a National Hunt fixture from Ayr. There is also the small matter of the Tattersalls Newmarket Horses In Training sale starting today and carrying on through until Thursday - as I write this David and Martin will already be on their way to the Suffolk town in the hope of finding some more equine stars for the jumps game.  I know that David and the team have done plenty of work on the catalogue so if you are interested in purchasing a horse from the largest in training sale in the world, do give us a call on 01884 840715.

Even though they are racing under just one code you won't catch me complaining about balance in the fixture list this afternoon as we have two jumps meetings to look forward to!  It look like quality action too with meetings from Aintree and Wincanton.  The stable has runners at both meetings - Unanimité makes his eagerly awaited second start over hurdles following his exciting debut at Market Rasen and he goes in the juvenile hurdle at Aintree at 1.30pm.  Tom Scudamore is once again in the saddle.  Meanwhile, over at Wincanton Conor O'Farrell picks up some nice rides for the stable as he rides Vazaro de Lafayette, Famousandfearless and Johnny McGeeney for the yard.  Famousandfearless has won his last two starts and looks a progessive type now switched to fences - this 3m3f trip should suit as should the ground and he has only 10-3 on his back.
