There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps action from Southwell and Carlisle as well as an all-weather flat fixture from Chelmsford City.  Hopefully Carlisle will have passed their inspection as David is due to have one runner; Saint John Henry who is engaged in the 3m2f handicap chase.  If the track thaws out sufficiently, he will appreciate the testing conditions - let's hope that he goes well as he is Tom Scudamore's only ride of the day, a comment that also applies to David Noonan over at Southwell.

There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Cheltenham, Doncaster and Hereford as well as all-weather flat fixtures from Newcastle and Wolverhampton.  The stable has two runners at Cheltenham; Startchitect and Dell' Arca.  Starchitect contests the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup at 1.55pm in which the first five home from November's BetVictor Chase all reoppose today.  Starchitect ran a cracker to finish a narrow runner-up to Splash Of Ginge that day and at the revised weights there should not be much between them again.  He seems to go on any ground and looks to have a great chance under Tom Scudamore.

The good news is that Bangor have passed their early morning inspection and racing goes ahead meaning there are four meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps action from Cheltenham, Doncaster and Bangor over the sticks as well as an all-weather Chelmsford City.  David has three runners at Cheltenham; Abracadabra Sivola, Champers On Ice (pictured above) and Taj Badalandabad (easier to write than say!), while The Draconian and Tis What It Is run at Bangor.

Following the abandonment of Warwick and Newcastle this morning, there are just two meetings taking place this afternoon with Taunton hosting a jumps card and Chelmsford City with their all-weather flat fixture.  The card at Taunton looks to be a good one and features the rescheduled Peterborough Chase from Huntingdon's abandoned meeting of last week.  David has plenty of runners at our local track; Friday Night Light, Miss Tynte, Tobacco Road (pictured above), Vaniteux and Midnight Magic.

Today there are three meetings taking place, although sadly none of them are over the jumps following the abandonments of Leicester and Hexham.  Indeed, all of the action is on the all-weather from Lingfield, Wolverhampton and Kempton.  Forgive me if I do not get overexcited!  The good news is that Taunton is looking likely to go ahead tomorrow where they host the rescheduled Peterborough Chase.  The temperatures in the west country have been really mild, so let's hope that continues, unlike in Shropshire where the temperature dipped to -13ºc - that was colder than Moscow!

Sadly it is a blank day for jumps fans as Ayr have failed their early morning inspection due to the frost.  That leaves us with two meetings on the all-weather at Lingfield and Wolverhampton, although the card from Wolverhampton is subject to a 10am inspection - let's hope that gets the go ahead.  It is better news for Taunton however as the prestigious Peterborough Chase is due to be held on their card on Thursday, hopefully the temperatures will pick up a bit over the next few days.  Obviously Peterborough is nowhere near Taunton - perhaps it should be renamed the Wellington Chase?!  I bet that idea would soon get the boot!

Ramses De Teille runs at Fontwell

Today hopefully we have two meetings, a jumps card at Fontwell plus and all-weather meeting at Southwell.  I would have thought the trade description people could do Southwell as there is an 8am inspection on the all-weather!  David has one runner at Fontwell, Ramses De Teille in the 2.15pm handicap chase.  He won on heavy last time out at Chepstow by 17 lengths but he has gone up 15 pounds for that win so he has got to improve again.  The step up in trip should be okay and we look to have a favourites chance of winning.  Tom Scu rides.
